Your Breath
In unusual times take a moment to close your eyes and breathe. Try to focus your equal inhalations and exhalations.
The nervous system has an effect on your immune system. Take a couple moments in your day to breathe, gather your thoughts and know that we are collectivity in this together.
Try these 4 simple steps:
- Come to a comfortable seated position. Sitting tall and relaxing your shoulders.
- Keep your eyes soft, maybe gazing at your nose.
- Take a slow inhale through your nose and count to three. Visualize that you are sending your breath to the bottom of your lungs, sides of your rib cage and the back of your rib cage.
- Take a slow exhalation and count to three. Visualize that you are sending your breath out thru your nose from the bottom of your lungs, sides of your rib cage and back of your rib cage.
Give this a try for a few rounds - even inhalations and exhalations. Feel free to count higher or lower.
